Nearly 1,000 years of Bahamian heritage, reimagined as the finest beach destination in Nassau. From world-class beach clubs to cultural celebrations — this is Clifton, elevated.
Clifton Heritage National Park is the most historically significant site in The Bahamas. Established in 2004, it is the custodian of nearly 1,000 years of history — from the first Lucayan inhabitants to the African enslaved who built these shores, to the Loyalists who shaped this land.
Today, Clifton is not only a monument to the past — it is Nassau's most extraordinary destination. The park preserves over 6,000 yards of stone walls, the ruins of Great House and Slave Village, the underwater wonder of Ocean Atlas, and the sacred energy of Genesis Garden.
The first people of the Bahamas. Their spiritual sites, banana holes, and cultural legacy are woven into every corner of the park.
67 enslaved people once lived here. Their stories, resilience, and contributions are honored through the Slave Village and living memorials.
The Great House, built in 1785 by John Wood. The plantation that shaped colonial Nassau. History visible in every stone wall.
From the joyful energy of Flipper Beach to the extraordinary intimacy of Johnston Reserve — Clifton offers an experience for every vision of paradise. Each zone is distinct. Each is exceptional.
